Rules

1. General Rules

(Please read our full Terms and Conditions for more comprehensive terms which apply)

1.1. Betting Age Limit: Betting is prohibited for minors (People under 18 years). When we have doubts about a customer’s age, we will demand for a photo id proof of age.

1.2. Time of Acceptance of Bets: Bets are accepted only on matches for which the website has placed odds (Also referred to as Market Prices). We will accept all bets until the advertised kick off time on our website. If, for any reason, the bet is inadvertently accepted after that time, the bet will be void. In the event of a dispute over the time of placing bet, then the time which was recorded at the placement of bet (recorded time in the website) will be used to govern the dispute resolution.

1.3. Bet Confirmation: At kick off unconfirmed bets will be automatically cancelled and only those bets will be accepted for which the confirmation was shown after confirming the bet and the stake has been deducted from your account. Therefore, after placing the bet, please confirm Bet and then wait for the confirmation message on screen and then cross verify your account for more assurance of the acceptance of the bet.

1.4. Odds Fluctuations: All the odds on all games are subject to fluctuation relative to market dynamics. It may happen that you see some particular odd for some team while viewing, and when you place your bet, you get some different odd, that is because we are operating in an international market and market prices are continuously updated to give you the true picture of that particular game. However, if a player had staked before the change, we will base his return on the old odds.

1.5. Customer Responsibility: Customers should make themselves aware of all the market rules affecting any market on which they wish to place a bet. In any dispute, we reserve all the rights to take any decision pertaining to settling bets on games depending on our rules and regulations.

1.6 Settlement or Market Disputes:

In the event of any dispute on any market, settlement will refer to the official websites of the league or competition or relevant football authority for the match or competition in question for goals.

In the case of this data not being publicly available or published for goals and for all cases of corners, free kicks, throw-ins, goal kicks, penalty awarded/missed/scored, settlement will be made on data from the official website of the competition or if unavailable data transmitted by our Data Providers.

This settlement data and results can be obtained on request from Customer Support.

1.7 Can’t find an answer or an explanation for any market or odds in the system?

Contact us via email: help@bongobongo.ke or any of our Customer support team via telephone numbers listed in our Contact Us section of the website www.bongobongo.ke

2. Market Prices

(Also referred to as Odds)

Bongobongo will make available games and the odds per outcome of as many games as possible. If;

2.1. The outcome of the market can’t be verified officially, we reserve the right to delay a settlement until official confirmation. Markets were offered when the outcome was already known, we reserve the right to void any betting.

2.2. A match is reported to be under suspicion of any manipulation by our Fraud Detection System, we reserve the right to void any market.

2.3. In the case of any obviously incorrect displayed or calculated prices, we reserve the right to void betting.

2.4. In the case of an incorrect settlement of markets, we reserve the right to correct them anytime.

2.5. In the case of the general implied rules of a sport being violated, we reserve the right to void any market (e.g. unusual period length, counting procedure, format of a match …).

2.6. In the case of the rules or format of a match differing from our implied information, we reserve the right to void any market.

3. Accumulators

(Also referred to as Multiples)

The player can accumulate events for higher returns. What this means is that if we offer Arsenal to beat Chelsea at 2.5 for the first match and we offer Manchester United to beat Liverpool at 2.0 in another match, the player can combine the two matches. If he backs Arsenal and Manchester United, his odds will be multiplied. In this case, his odds become 2.5 multiplied by 2.0 which gives us 5.0. So if a customer stakes 1,000(KSh) his expected returns will be 5,000 (KSh.). The danger here is that if he loses one of the matches, the entire accumulator is lost. There is no limit to the number of matches a customer can accumulate.

4. Match Cancellation

General Rule for all sport - If an event is cancelled and one team or player is awarded a win as a WALKOVER the event be will be considered void irrespective of any score being awarded for the walkover.

When a match is canceled or postponed, the odds of that particular match turns to 1. For example, if a player stakes on a match with 1,000 (KSh) he gets his 1,000 (KSh) in return. For accumulators, the other matches are calculated, and winnings paid.

4.1. If a match is abandoned and will be replayed beginning from the first minute, the match is cancelled and a new match ID will be generated.

4.2. If a match is abandoned and will be finished, the match ID remains the same.

4.3. If a match is postponed and there is a rearranged date within 48 hours, the date will be changed and the match ID remains the same.

4.4. If a match is postponed, and the rearranged date isn’t within 48 hours, the match will be cancelled and a new match ID will be generated.

5. Duration

All match markets are based on the result at the end of a scheduled 90 minutes play unless otherwise stated. This includes any added injury or stoppage time but does not include extra-time time allocated for a penalty shootout or golden goal. The exceptions to this rule are in relation to friendly matches, where all match markets will be settled based on the actual result when the game finishes (excluding any extra-time), irrespective of whether the full 90 minutes is played.

6. Rights

6.1. We have the right not to accept bets from clients, who do not agree to our rules.

6.2. We reserve the right to void betting if the market remains open when the following events have already taken place: goals, red or yellow-red cards and penalties.

6.3. We reserve the right to void betting if the market was opened with a missing or incorrect red card.

6.4. We reserve the right to void betting if odds were offered with an incorrect match time (more than 5 minutes).

6.5. We reserve the right to void betting if a wrong score is entered, all markets will be cancelled for the time when the incorrect score was displayed.

6.6. We reserve the right to void betting If a match is interrupted or postponed and is not continued within 48 hours after the initial kick-off date.

6.7. We reserve the right to void betting if the team names or category are displayed incorrectly.

6.8. We reserve the right to limit the maximum bet for individual events and also to limit or raise the maximum bet for specific persons without explanation.

7. Minimum and Maximum

(Stakes, Winnings, Ticket Size)

We reserve the right to limit the maximum bet for individual events and also to limit or raise the maximum bet for specific persons without explanation.

7.1. Minimum Stake is Ksh 1

7.2. Maximum Winnings: per user per 24-hour period shall be KSh. 1,500,000 (including stake). This means all winnings above 1,500,000 KSh. (excluding stake) will be rounded down to 1,500,000 KSh for all bets on different slips. Maximum Winnings per individual betslip shall be KSh 1,500,000 (including stake). All winnings are subject to statutory tax deductions.

7.3. Minimum Ticket Size: Is 1 game Selection.

7.4. Maximum Ticket Size: is 45 selections.

8. Withdraw Calculation

8.1. For Single Bets: Winning Amount = STAKE multiplied by the odds. For instance, if you STAKE/Bet 1,000 (Kenya Shillings, KSh) on a win for Liverpool at a market price (odds) of 2.3. Then your winning amount will be: Winning Amount =1,000 x 2.3=2,300 KSh

8.2. For Accumulators of Multiples Bets: Winning amount=Your stake multiplied by the odds of 1st selection multiplied by the odds of second selection multiplied by the odds of third selection multiplied by the odds of fourth selection multiplied until the last selection in your ticket. For instance, if you placed a STAKE of 2,000 (Kenya Shillings) on Six teams, with different market prices, namely: Kenya (2.5), Liverpool (4.2), Barcelona (1.5), Chelsea (1.8), Brazil (1.2), and Inter Milan (3.2), the

Winning Amount will be: Winning Amount=2,000x2.5x4.2x1.5x1.8x1.2x3.2=217,728 (Kenya Shillings)

NOTE:

All Winnings may be subject to local withholding tax at the prevailing rate. Any transaction bonus or withholding tax applies to the NET WIN amount only i.e. Winning Amount minus the Original Stake. In the above example, Single bet winning amount is KSh. 2,300 and stake=1,000, then the net win amount is KSh. 1,300. Therefore, if a transaction bonus of 8% applies, and the withholding tax rate is 5%, then the final payout after bonus and tax will be: 2,300 + 104 - 195 = 2,209

12. Tennis Rules

12.1 If a player retires or is disqualified bets on the match result will stand as long as one set has been completed, otherwise these bets will be void. Bets on other markets will be void unless a definitive result for that market has already been determined. The player that progresses to the next round or is awarded the victory after the first set has been completed will be deemed the winner. The following examples are based on a 3 set match, relating to Match, Set and Total betting.

Example #1. The match Nadal vs Federer is abandoned with the score 1:0 (6:2, 0:3) because of Nadal retiring. All bets on Nadal (-2.5), Federer (+2.5), Over/Under 21.5, Set Betting 2-0, 2-1, 1-2 will be void. All bets on 1st Set, Match Result, Set Betting 0-2 will be settled as winners/losers, respectively.

Example #2. The match Nadal vs Federer is abandoned with the score 1:1 (6:4, 0:6, 0:1) because of Nadal retiring. Bets on Federer (+3.5) will be settled as winners and bets on Nadal (-3.5) will be settled as losers, because your bet on Nadal (-3.5) could not win whatever the last set score was having the match reached its natural conclusion. Bets on Over/Under 21.5 in the match will be settled as winners/losers respectively, since any natural conclusion to the match would have resulted in at least 22 games being played. All bets on 1st Set, 2nd Set, Match Result, Set Betting 2-0, 0-2 will be settled as winners/losers, respectively. Bets on Set Betting 2-1, 1-2 will be void.

Example #3. The match Nadal vs Federer is abandoned with the score 0:0 (4:4) because of Nadal retiring. Bets on Over/Under 9.5 in the 1st Set will be settled as winners/losers respectively, since any natural conclusion to the set would have resulted at least 10 games being played. All non-determined 1st set over/under games and other bets will be void.

12.2 In the event of a change in the total number of sets played, match bets will stand so long as one set has been completed. All bets on Set Betting, Game Handicap and Total Games will be void. All other bets will also be void, unless a specific market result has already been determined; in which case all bets placed on those markets will stand.

12.3 In the event of the following circumstances taking place, all bets will stand.

  • A change of playing surface

  • A change of venue

  • A change from indoor court to outdoor court

12.4 If a match is delayed or postponed for any reason, then all bets will stand until the end of the match or the end of the tournament.
